Social Care and Geriatric Care (Courses 1,2,3,4,5)

To be eligible for admission into the Social Care and Geriatric Care (Courses 12345) programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification – Minimum of 5 credits in SSCE/WAEC/NECO, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and any two relevant science or social science subjects.

• Age Requirement – Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.

• Application Process – Completion of the GeedyStar College admission form, submission of required documents, and participation in screening/interview.

• Health Fitness – Medical fitness certificate to ensure applicants can handle the physical demands of caregiving.

Graduates of the Social Care and Geriatric Care programme will be equipped to work in diverse healthcare and community service settings, including:

• Geriatric Care Assistant – Providing direct care and support to elderly patients in hospitals and care homes.

• Social Care Officer – Working in government or NGO programmes focused on community welfare and vulnerable groups.

• Community Health Worker – Delivering health education and support services at the grassroots level.

• Rehabilitation Support Specialist – Assisting patients recovering from illness or injury, especially elderly individuals.

• Care Home Administrator – Managing residential care facilities and ensuring quality service delivery.

• NGO/International Agencies – Opportunities with organisations focused on aging, social welfare, and healthcare development.
